The Chemistry Program, School of Science, Walailak University, recently hosted Chem Meet with Fun 2025, an engaging and heartwarming orientation event designed to welcome first-year students. Guided by the concept “Study hard, play hard,” the activity aimed to strengthen connections among freshmen, senior students, and faculty members, creating a sense of community within the chemistry department.
The event kicked off with fun trivia games related to the department, allowing first-year students to learn more about “Chemistry at Walailak University,” including academic courses, laboratory practices, faculty members, academic staff, and key contact points that help ensure a smooth and enjoyable university life.
Next, participants enjoyed Chemistry Bingo 🎲, a fun activity designed to help students get to know their peers, senior students, and instructors in a relaxed and interactive way. This game fostered bonding while promoting a friendly and collaborative learning atmosphere.
The program also included interactive learning stations organized by senior chemistry students, combining both educational content and entertainment. These stations provided freshmen with hands-on experience, practical knowledge, and a playful introduction to the culture and community of the chemistry department.
The event concluded with a warm shared meal, thoughtfully prepared by senior students. This special gathering encouraged a sense of belonging and highlighted the spirit of the chemistry community 💖.
