School of Science, Walailak University Welcomes Exchange Student from Cambodia

welcomed Miss Sao Sinuon, an exchange student and short-term researcher

On December 12, 2024,
Associate Professor Dr. Mullica Jaroensutasinee, Acting Dean of the School of Science,
together with Assistant Professor Dr. Jariya Sakayaroj, Head of the Biology Program,
and other faculty members from the Biology Program, warmly welcomed
Miss Sao Sinuon, an exchange student and short-term researcher from the
Center for Biodiversity Conservation, The Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Miss Sao Sinuon is conducting her short-term research under the supervision of
Dr. Curt H. Barnes, a faculty member of the Biology Program, School of Science.
Her research project, titled
“Field and Laboratory Techniques and Systematics of Herpetology,”
is being carried out from December 9 to 23, 2024.

Additionally, Dr. Jirathi Satthaphorn provided support in molecular training to enhance her research skills.

This academic exchange reflects the School of Science’s commitment to international collaboration and knowledge sharing in the field of biology across ASEAN institutions.
