Walailak University’s School of Science Builds Academic Collaboration Network with RUPP, Cambodia

On 4 March 2025, faculty members from the School of Science, Walailak University, representing the Biology and Mathematics and Statistics programs, visited the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to establish academic and research collaboration between the two universities.

The visiting delegation included:

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Jariya Sakyaroj

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saneh Rujivan

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Nopphon Thammarongrat

  • Dr. Kurt Hrad Barns

During the visit, the faculty members engaged in discussions and experience-sharing sessions with executives and lecturers from the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering, RUPP. They also presented ongoing research projects and introduced graduate programs offered by Walailak University’s School of Science.

The event attracted more than 30 undergraduate and graduate students from RUPP, many of whom expressed strong interest in pursuing graduate studies at Walailak University.

This initiative marks another important step in expanding Walailak University’s international academic collaboration network, paving the way for enhanced research partnerships and greater opportunities for student mobility in the region.
