School of Science Hosts THE WU SCIENCE POSTER SYMPOSIUM 2025

The School of Science, Walailak University, recognizing the importance of research project and special problem courses in the Bachelor of Science in Science, Marine Science, and Science Education programs, organized the WU Science Poster Symposium 2025. The event provides students with an opportunity to gain experience in scientific communication through poster presentations of their research projects. It also serves as a platform for knowledge exchange with experts, senior students, juniors who are in the process of selecting research topics, and the general public—encouraging new ideas and inspiration in the field of science.

This poster symposium will be held under the name WU Science Poster Symposium 2025, taking place on 6–7 February 2025, as part of the celebrations of Walailak University’s anniversary. The event also welcomes participation from high school students, giving them the chance to present their science projects and providing greater visibility for the Walailak University science programs.

The symposium includes sessions led by invited speakers to guide students and high school participants in designing effective scientific posters, ensuring their work is visually engaging and communicates information clearly to audiences.

There are two poster categories:

  • High School Science Projects (open to students from various schools, with a participation fee).

  • Undergraduate Research Projects/PBL Lab Posters (for Walailak University science students, free of charge).

The event also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:

  • SDG 4: Quality Education – ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all, at the high school, undergraduate, and community levels.

  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing global partnerships for sustainable development, fostering collaboration among schools, universities, and the wider community.
