“Parents entrust their children with love; the School welcomes and cares for every student.”
On 6 May 2026, the School of Science, Walailak University, organized the “New Student Parent Orientation for the 2026 Academic Year” to foster strong relationships and mutual understanding between parents and the School of Science, while providing parents with confidence in the University’s teaching and learning, student welfare, and support systems throughout their children’s university journey.
The event was honored by the presence of Associate Professor Dr. Mallika Charoensuthasinie, Acting Dean of the School of Science, together with the School’s administrators and faculty members, who met and engaged closely with parents to exchange information and discuss approaches to supporting and developing students, as well as preparing them for university-level study.
The event featured an introduction to the vision and academic programs of the School of Science, which emphasize modern science, innovation, and research. The School aims to develop students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to meet the demands of the future workforce and adapt to a rapidly changing world.
The student care and support system was also introduced, including the academic advisor system, counseling and mental health support, as well as information on scholarships and various University offices and services available to assist students. These resources are designed to assure parents that their children will receive appropriate support for both their academic success and quality of life.
In terms of facilities, the School of Science introduced its well-equipped and standardized science laboratories, which support hands-on learning, along with information about student residences and the University environment, all of which contribute to students’ learning and daily lives.
The New Student Parent Orientation therefore serves as an important mechanism for strengthening the partnership between families and the University, with the shared goal of supporting students as they adapt, learn, and grow to their full potential.
“Our goal is not simply to develop excellent scientists, but to care for every student and help them grow with quality and happiness throughout their time here.”
The School of Science, Walailak University, is committed to standing alongside students and their parents in creating meaningful learning experiences and working together toward success throughout their educational journey.
