On Wednesday, 17 June 2026, the School of Science, in collaboration with the Center for Academic Services, Walailak University, organized the first activity under the project “Promoting STEM Education: Building a Foundation in Chemistry” as part of the Wednesday SDGs Event at Sakaeo Rattanawit School, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.
The activity aimed to strengthen students’ foundational knowledge in chemistry while developing analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and STEM-based learning competencies. The project was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Apsorn Boonyang, Acting Second Lieutenant Jirapatchara Namkaew, and Dr. Wuthinan Thongyod, together with second- and third-year students from the General Science Major, Science Education Program, Bachelor of Education, who served as facilitators and learning activity assistants.
The activity focused on inspiring students to develop an interest in science while strengthening 21st-century skills and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through an active learning approach.
