Mathematics and Statistics Program Organizes a “Mathematics Project Development Camp” for Students from Phetcharik Municipal Demonstration School

On Saturday, 29 November 2025, the Mathematics and Statistics Program, School of Science, Walailak University, organized a “Mathematics Project Development Camp” at Walailak University to enhance students’ knowledge and skills in mathematics and statistics.

The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bundit Unyong, Acting Associate Dean of the School of Science, who delivered the welcoming remarks. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Janyarak Tongsomporn, Head of the Mathematics and Statistics Program, together with faculty members, academic staff, and university students, participated in organizing and supporting the activities.

The camp welcomed 220 Grade 8 students from Phetcharik Municipal Demonstration School, accompanied by 15 school administrators and teachers. The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Suchart Iadwong, Director of the school.

The camp featured a range of activities designed to develop students’ skills in mathematical project development, covering pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics. The activities aimed to inspire students to explore mathematics beyond the classroom, strengthen their analytical and problem-solving skills, and prepare them to further develop and apply their knowledge in future academic pursuits.
