Math Skills Camp: Learning, Thinking, and Having Fun!

On July 10–11, 2026, the Mathematics and Statistics Program, Bachelor of Science Program, School of Science, organized a special Mathematics Skills Camp for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students in the special academic program at Koh Mak Matthayom School.
The camp was filled with enthusiasm, laughter, and a welcoming learning atmosphere. Through a series of hands-on activities, students strengthened their logical thinking, analytical skills, and mathematical problem-solving abilities while discovering that mathematics can be both challenging and enjoyable.
The students took part in four interactive learning stations, each designed to develop different mathematical skills:
Station 1: Tangram, Tower of Hanoi & Napier’s Bones
Students explored classic mathematical games and tools that encouraged logical thinking, strategic planning, and calculation skills.
Station 2: Teewee
A fun and engaging activity designed to develop analytical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
Station 3: Graph
Students explored connections and relationships through the concepts of graph theory, helping them approach problems from a structured and mathematical perspective.
Station 4: Stat
Students learned how to organize, interpret, and understand data through examples of statistics in everyday life, making statistical concepts more accessible and relevant.
Learning Together, Growing Sustainably
This activity contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education by creating meaningful learning opportunities and strengthening mathematical skills among young learners. It also supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering collaboration between the university and the school to expand educational opportunities and work together toward quality and sustainable education.
