Magnetic research at Walailak University is part of Center of Excellence in Functional Materials and Nanotechnology. Our interest ranges from the strongest to smallest magnets. Our works on Rare-earth free magnets, Magnetic nanoparticles, Magnetic glass composites, Magnetic polymer composites, Magnetoimpedance and Magnetoresistance have been published in ISI journals.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sorasak Danworaphong
Our acoustics laboratory is designated to explore, expand, and express the knowledge of acoustic waves and vibration via basic research and innovation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phongpichit Channuie
My research interests cover Physics Beyond the Standard Model, Cosmic Inflation and its verifiable consequences, Modified Theory of Gravity, and some particular related fields.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krisanadej Jaroensutasinee
My current research is on scientific computing and informatics in the marine sensor network (coral, wetland, estuaries and seagrass marine systems), especially on ecology (Ecoinformatics). This sensor network helps us monitor changes in the fragile ecosystem in near real-time online.

Assoc. Prof. Dr.Krisanadej Jaroensutasinee
The tourist industry is one of my main research interests. I currently work on tourism informatics, high-value destination indicators, and virtual tourism academy.

Research Interests: Microwave heating, Atmospheric cold plasma source, Low pressure plasma and ion sources.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krisanadej Jaroensutasinee
Applying sensor technology to agriculture (precision and smart farming), sensor technology (IoT) and medical applications (smart health, BIG data and Machine Learning) are also my ongoing research interest.

Asst.Prof.Dr. Punsiri Dam-O
My research interests are in the field of Physics education. Currently, I and my colleagues, are working on the development of a wind tunnel remote laboratory, in both experimental setup and lessons. The remote wind tunnel is used not only for learning aerodynamics laws but also for other applications.
